The Prosperity Roundtable is excited to announce that Howard Mutual has graciously donated $20,000 to the Mobile Market. The funds from this donation will ensure the Mobile Market can remain affordable and continue to support small farmers across Chatham-Kent.
“We are very grateful for this donation from Howard Mutual” said Phillip Mock, Project Coordinator of the Prosperity Roundtable. “They, like us, understand the importance of everyone having the right to affordable, fresh, and local produce.”
As Mobile Market moves into the summer months and local produce becomes more readily available, the majority of this donation will go towards the purchase of produce from small local farmers who have been hardest hit during the pandemic.
“We want to support the small local farmers in our community who are the backbone of Chatham-Kent.” said Heather Tulloch Community Food Connector for the Mobile Market. “We have built some amazing partnerships over the last 8 months and we will continue to support local.”
